I hate the Yankees…

I have long thought that the Houston Astros (my team) should sign some ball players from China.  I’ve watched some Chinese kids play baseball, and I think there is a real potential to spread the love of the game there.  And, with Yao Ming in Houston, it would really set it up to make Houston a big time sports market, with the Chinese fan base supporting both the Rockets and Astros.


So, it makes me hate the Yankees all the more to see this news.

March Madness: how ’bout them Gators?

I have been looking at March Madness Brackets, and I expect Florida to repeat as champs this month.

They have the same 5 starters back from last year… the same 5 guys who won it all. And, they are playing very well.

Sounds like a winner, right? I mean, they all came back because they want to repeat. They could’ve gone to the NBA and gotten rich, but here they are.

That said, no team has ever brought back the same 5 starters and repeated as champs. If the Gators do it this year, it will be historic.

So, what’s your prediction?
